Phoenix Golf and Country Club is around 30 minutes outside Pattaya. The course was originally designed by Denis Griffiths in 1993 and the three course are spread over more than 1,000 rai and having been around for so long the course is blessed with may mature trees and colourful local plants.

In addition there are plenty of lakes, ponds and bunkers to ensure that the golf course has some protection

The Mountain Course offers golfers a wonderful view of one of the famous local landmark which is a huge image of a Buddha carved into a sheer cliff face with a laser. The narrow undulating fairways and the fast greens will provide a stern test for all golfers.

The Lakes Course rewards golfers who can keep their drives on line so ensuring the best position for your layup to the greens. The course is sprinkled with many beautiful ponds and small lakes and few strategically-placed trees and bunkers to challenge most golfers.

The Ocean Course is a favourite with local Pattaya golfers as many of the fairways are lined with mature trees but it is now undergoing a major renovation and to modernise the layout and it is expected to re-open in early 2016.

Nice course to start a golf tour with and the price is right

course is starting to show its age but could not really fault anything apart from the driving range where there is not enough space for the number of golfers

Great course.... challenging but not overly difficult. Crowded and slow play. Fantastic caddy. Club house under renovation.

One of better courses to play in Pattaya area..

Played Lake and Ocean.. View of Pattaya skyline from the Par 5 green (guess it was hole #17) was breathtaking.. Overall good experience.

Lovely Track, in a pretty area!

I played twice at Phoenix Gold near Pattaya and came away having thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Day 1 I was faced with biblical rain, but played through it. Determined to see the course in the best light, I returned the next day when the sun was out. I was correct on a nice day, the course is beautiful. Some really great holes, with lots of well placed bunkers to catch any wayward shots. The greens in places werent the greatest surface, but mostly were fine, a little slower than I am used to, but it did rain a massive amount. They are really varied surfaces though, with big undulations, requiring some good shots in to get close to the hole, sometimes aiming at the flag is the wrong play. A really pleasant golf course, and I will certainly be returning in the hope I can play the 9 holes I didnt this time. I played the Ocean and Lakes 9's each day. My caddie was knowledgable and decent company for my round. Would recommend!
