Palm Springs Golf & Country Club

Palm Springs Golf & Country Club is a very popular golf courses with three 9-holes courses called Resort, Palm & Island.  You get great views from all around this course with lots of sloping fairways and water hazards to make life more complicated. The Palm Courses traverses close to the mangrove swamps and through natural forested areas. The Resort courses is more of the same but more hilly.  The Island Course is probably the easiest of the three with wide fairways and forgiving greens. An attractive Balinese-style clubhouse overlooking the beach offer all the usual amenities.

Southlinks Country Club

Southlinks Country Club is a classic parkland course and the designer has been very sympathetic to the local topography and the course blends in very well with its natural surroundings.  The courses is very popular with Japanese players and indeed was designed by Hisamitsu Ohnishi, a world famous golf course architect.  Plenty of water around the courses with some challenging water carries but the courses has been cleverly designed to cater to golfers of all standards.

Indha Puri Golf Course

Indha Puri Golf Course is another course designed by a world-renowned golf courses designer and in this case it is none other than Ronald Fream.  As you tee off beside the elevated clubhouse you get great views over the course as it runs beside the beach and then heads inland through attractive lakes and numerous bunkers.

Tering Bay Golf Course

Tering Bay Golf Course was designed by former world number one, Greg Norman and he has created a wonderful 18-hole, par 72 layout which is in immaculate condition and winds its way through the rolling hills, lush tropical vegetation and tranquil lakes.

If you have time after your game of golf in Batam then you should sample some of the delicious seafood which is all incredibly fresh and if you fancy staying overnight then Batam has some quite “racy” nightlife!

Batam HIlls Golf Resort on the Indonesian Batam Island, previously known as Paradise Bay has undergone a transformation since the new owners took over in 2006.  The Batam Hills Golf Resort is located on the west of the island, in part of the Waterfront City development. To get to the course is relatively straightforward by ferry and then a short drive across the island which offers some spectacular views.

Southlinks Golf Course is an 18-hole championship golf course located a short distance from Singapore on the tropical island of Batam. The course was originally designed by Hisamitsu Ohnishi, one of Japan’s best known golf courses designers and he did an excellent job of using the natural features of the land without destroying too much of the natural environment.  The owners have continued to improve the course and recently added floodlights on the last four holes to slightly extend the playing time.
