Perth golf courses

Perth is the largest and capital city of the Western State of Australia and is the fourth largest in terms of population in the country.

Perth is part of the South West Land Division of Western Australia and is situated towards the south of the Western Coast, with no other major Australian city located on the same side of the country.

Perth Airport is the main gateway to the city and this region of Western Australia.  The airport accepts both domestic and international flights, with major airlines operating from around the world including Air New Zealand, AirAsia, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines.

Visitors from European and North American countries can enjoy a Perth golf holiday thanks to connecting flights using the airlines above and enjoy a multi-centre golf trip.

Perth is known for some of the best beaches in the world and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you left without visiting at least one of them.  Cottesloe Beach is arguably the most famous in Perth and is home to clear blue ocean and soft, blonde sand.

Kings Park is another great experience in Perth and is home to a magnificent 750-year-old tree, more than 12,000 wildflower species and tremendous views of the city from the suspended treetop bridge.

The Perth golf courses are not bad either and you have a choice of four excellent courses to play.  There is the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Joondalup Golf Club plus Links Kennedy Bay, The Cut Golf Course and Vines Resort Country Club.

The layout is beautifully groomed and challenging, yet all the holes are pure joy for golfers of every standard. Moderately hilly fairways of Santa Ana couch, Fescue / Rye in light rough and wide ondulating Penncross Bent greens. A lot of huge bunkers, including one with an access ladder. There are three diverse natural landscapes of bush, dunes and quarry, which provide a wide range of golf holes and shot making. While Lake Nine presents some windswept-like holes with distant ocean glimpses, the Quarry features some of Robert Trent Jones Jr's most dramatic work.
