The Royal Hills Khao Yai golf course is a par-72, which plays to 7,034 yards from the back tees. The golf course is great in that it offers a challenge to the best players thanks to the back tee positions and beginners due to the wide fairways. This is a golf course which has been used for professional and amateur events in Thailand and is therefore of the highest standard.
The overall contour of the land is hilly and the holes wind their way through a natural environment which includes trees and water.
The first hole at Royal Hills Khao Yai is a perfect example and you face a tee shot over a stream to the fairway beyond. The fairway is wide but there is a tree located in the middle so you must consider which side you would like to leave the ball. The green is narrow but deep and is protected by a large bunker to the front-left.
The first par-3 is found on the 3rd hole and this a comfortable hole to play, with a wide fairway in-front of the green if you would like to roll you ball onto the putting surface. The green is protected by one large bunker to the front and two either side of the putting surface.
Water tends to come into play more often on the back nine holes. The par-3 13th hole is a good example and you face a tee shot over a lake to reach the green. The tee shot on the par-4 15th hole also requires to be hit over water and a stream runs the length of the right side of the fairway, with bunkers either side of the green.
Royal Hills Khao Yai is always in excellent condition and you will enjoy playing a round on this course regardless of ability.
In addition to the highly rated golf course and luxurious clubhouse at Royal Hills Khao Yai you will find a complete resort. There are four restaurants, a swimming pool, snooker tables, table tennis and fitness centre to enjoy.
Royal Hills Khao Yai comes highly recommended and makes for a tremendous day of golf or a longer stay.
