Aquella Golf Resort and Country Club is situated overlooking the Andaman Sea at Thai Muang Beach, 40 minutes north of Phuket Airport. The 177-hectare development of the site includes a complete redesign and rebuild the of the former Thai Muang Golf Club as well as villas and a hotel. Work on the new course began in 2018, and the work was undertaken by Pacific Coast Design from Australia and is scheduled to open in 2020.

Some of the new holes follow the orginal layout but have been completely rebuilt and everywhere the designer has added a deep layer of sand to ensure that the course drains well even after heavy rain.The course meanders across the gently rolling terrain and sometimes ventures in the Casuarina trees which line the beach. The course has been designed as a resort course so will be playable for golfers of all standards

The 11th which is a 186-yard par-three is the new signature hole. Here golfers tee off towards the Andaman Sea and the beach front. Depending on which tee you use gives you a completely different perspective and challenge

The contemporary clubhouse restaurant overlooks the golf course and looks out across the Andaman Sea.

Wow, condition of course was excellent

The course was in immaculate condition, l was very impressed with tees fairways and greens in excellent condition. A fair test with some great holes, but not to difficult. Caddy was lovely but not great at reading greens, l sometimes feel would be better reading myself. Would definitely come back and again in a heartbeat.

Our second visit to this course, this time with perfect weather conditions. The course condition is fabulous as are the ClubHouse facilities. We will definitiely make time for more visits to this Club.

A fantastic course within a beach-side (Khao Lak) area in beautiful condition - perfect.

Aquella was in pristine condition - with tees, fairways and greens immaculate and rough in well trimmed fluffy condition. Plenty of water challenges and powder white bunkers kept us challenged. The whole set-up was high end and a great experience. Food and drink matched these high standards. This was the best course condition we've played in Phuket area. Well worth the travel - for sure on our list for future trips.

Lovely well maintained course. Great driving range and putting green! Love the layout of the golf course, lots of water! You have to play strategically! Faster green would be great! It is still very new and with time this course will mature well

Couldn’t have asked for a better first round in Thailand. The course is in exceptional condition, very fair and forgiving and the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities (driving range, change rooms, restaurant) are all top notch. Wish we had more time on this trip to play here again, but will certainly come back when we return.
