Aquella Golf Resort and Country Club is situated overlooking the Andaman Sea at Thai Muang Beach, 40 minutes north of Phuket Airport. The 177-hectare development of the site includes a complete redesign and rebuild the of the former Thai Muang Golf Club as well as villas and a hotel. Work on the new course began in 2018, and the work was undertaken by Pacific Coast Design from Australia and is scheduled to open in 2020.

Some of the new holes follow the orginal layout but have been completely rebuilt and everywhere the designer has added a deep layer of sand to ensure that the course drains well even after heavy rain.The course meanders across the gently rolling terrain and sometimes ventures in the Casuarina trees which line the beach. The course has been designed as a resort course so will be playable for golfers of all standards

The 11th which is a 186-yard par-three is the new signature hole. Here golfers tee off towards the Andaman Sea and the beach front. Depending on which tee you use gives you a completely different perspective and challenge

The contemporary clubhouse restaurant overlooks the golf course and looks out across the Andaman Sea.

Excellent Course Worth the Drive

This is a new course (about two years old) it’s it’s about an hour and a half drive from Patong. From the moment I arrived the service was impeccable right down to my name on the locker in the change room. The caddy was great and all of the carts came equipped with GPS has provided you with accurate distances to the green. If you’re in Phuket, this is definitely one course I would recommend.

Aquella is a beautiful course even if still a little immature. It presents challenges although somewhat flat. The overriding takeaways are the condition of the course and the amazing service. Every interaction with staff is pleasant, professional and they execute service like a super luxury hotel. I cannot wait to go back and play again.

Great golf course and great service from staff and caddies alike

Despite being open for only 18 months, it is already a great golf course - and it will get even better as it matures. Clubhouse and facilities are excellent as is the service from the staff and caddies. Great value and will definitely come back to play again.

Fabulous course loved the greens

A bit of a tri from where we were staying but was worth the travel time to get here, wonderful course and facilities. Once matured will be even more wonderful.
