A very challenging Schmidt Curley designed links style course close to the ocean and when the wind blows it becomes even more difficult. All but the very accomplished golfer would be well advised to move forward a tee box!
The Best Ocean course is renowned for its tight fairways, often with water on either side and its elevated greens which are well protected by bunkers on every side. If you don’t hit it straight then it will be a long day and you will need to carry plenty of balls.
The standout hole is the par-3 15th, a 200 yard plus monster which requires an accurate tee shot over water to a very narrow green protected by bunkers.
The only consolation is that during the week the course is usually pretty quiet so you will not be holding anyone up as you retrieve your ball from the water!
Excellent clubhouse, and practice facilities as you would expect from a club of this stature.
A tough course but if your game is on song you should take it on at least once.
