Chiang Mai Golf & Culture

If you are visiting a new golf destination such as Chiang Mai for the first time on a golf holiday package, then it’s interesting to take in some local culture in between rounds of golf.

This golf and culture tour includes three rounds of golf at the best golf courses in Chiang Mai plus two tours and a fascinating dinner.

One of the joys of playing golf in Chiang Mai is the cool weather, especially during the winter months, when early morning temperatures can be as low as 10º C although once the sun gets up then its will be a very pleasant 15-20º C.

Chiang Mai Highlands Golf & Spa Resort is one of the top-rated golf courses in Chinag Mai in a very scenic location surrounded by hills.  Quite difficult at times with numerous well-positioned bunkers demanding careful club selection.

Alpine Golf Club, originally designed by Ron Garl is another beautiful course.  Quite long and difficult from the back tees and some exciting par-3’s with island greens.

Gassan Legacy Golf Course was totally renovated a couple of years ago by the renowned design team of Schmidt-Curley and is now an excellent layout in great condition.

In between rounds of golf we will take you on a City & Temple Tour of the old city to see the ruined walls and moat and the major temples and the tour will end at Warorote Market, the largest local market in Chiang Mai.

Visit a local farmhouse outskirts of Chiang Mai. Take a leisurely stroll around the grounds before cruising along the rural Mae Ping River. Continue by walk to visit the largest central market called Warorot Market where you can buy local products at a reasonable price.

You can also enjoy a traditional Khantoke Dinner to sample the local cuisine whilst enjoying a lively cultural show.
