Chiang Mai Golf Holiday

Playing golf in Chiang Mai is a real treat and offers a very different experience from playing golf in the rest of Thailand.  Most of the golf courses are set in remote areas away from the built-up areas so all that you will see when playing here is a vista of hills and mountains.  That does not mean that the golf courses are a long way from town and most of them can be reached in 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

The cool weather is a big part of playing golf here - over the winter months the temperature drops to below zero on the high mountains and you will need a light sweater if you intend to tee off early morning.

Chiang Mai Highlands Golf & Spa Resort is one of our favourite golf courses set in a beautiful valley with wonderful views from almost every hole.  Plenty of bunkers here surrounding the well-protected greens.

Alpine Golf Club which was designed by Ron Garl is another very pretty course but long and quite challenging with some very exciting holes which will challenge all aspects of your game.

Formerly known as Gassan Lake City Golf Club, this Chiang Mai golf course was closed in 2013 for a total renovation by the famous golf courses design team of Schmidt-Curley.  The courses was re-launched in 2014 and was renamed Gassan Legacy Golf Club and its now one of the best golf courses in Chiang Mai.

The most notable aspect of North Hill is the quality of the golf course and it is in stunning condition.  The greens, fairways, bunkers and even the rough are kept to a very high standard and you will feel like you are playing on a professional tournament quality golf course at North Hil

Depending on the timings of your flights you might be able to fit in another round on the day of your arrival and go straight to the golf course from the airport.
