Myanmar Golf Adventure (Yangon-Bagan-Kalaw-Inle)

Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) is the largest city in Myanmar (formerly Burma). An exotic mixture of British colonial architecture, modern high-rises and gilded Buddhist pagodas including the famed Shwedagon Pagoda.

Bagan is an ancient city in central Myanmar on the eastern banks of the Ayeyarwady River, where more than 2,000 Buddhist monuments are spread over the plains.   You will see some of them close at hand when you play golf at Bagan Golf Club.

You will spend a night in Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State close to Inle Lake.  You will stay at Ayetharyar Golf Resort, where you will enjoy some great golf in the scenic Shan hills.

You will also get a chance to explore Inle Lake and also get to play golf at Kalaw Golf Club before returning to Inle.

On returning to Yangon you get to play Pun Hlaing Golf Course, an18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by nine-time major tournament winner, Gary Player which  opened in 2000.

Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon Arrival

Arrival Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to the hotel (Recommend arrival flight time: before 11:00)

Day free to explore Yangon – formerly name is Rangoon and known as Garden city of Myanmar.

In evening, visit to the World Famous Shwe Dagon Pagoda.

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2:  Yangon – Bagan

Fly up to Bagan and explore the Ananda pagoda, dating from the 12th Century. Later in the day, visit the Bupaya pagodas for perfect sunset panorama views of the city.

Day 3:  Bagan – Golf at Bagan Golf Club

Breakfast at your hotel

Early risers might like to take a hot-air balloon ride that will give you spectacular sunrise views. (extra cost)

You will then be taken to play golf at the Bagan Golf Resort, which winds its way through the surrounding temples.

Overnight in Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan–Heho-Taungyi

After breakfast take a morning flight to Heho and transfer to the Ayetharyar Golf Resort, where you will enjoy some great golf in the scenic Shan hills.

Overnight in Taungyi.

Day 5: Taungyi-Kalaw-Inle Lake

After breakfast drive to Kalaw and play golf at Kalaw Golf Club then drive back to Inle, Nyaung Shwe.

End the day with wine tasting at Red Mountain Estate vineyard. (Clients’ own account)

Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 6 Inle Lake - Yangon

After breakfast take a boat to visit the ancient lakeside stupas at Indein and see handicrafts in Nampan village. If time permits visit the floating market.

Then transfer to airport for flight back to Yangon.

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 7 Yangon

After breakfast drive to Pun Hlaing Golf Course to play another round.

In the evening, feel free to enjoy one of the many newly-established eateries and bars around downtown Yangon.

Day 8 Yangon departure

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking a private car to Yangon International Airport for departure.
