One of the many great aspects about Iga Golf Course is it can be enjoyed by players of all abilities.  The 18 hole, par-72 golf courses plays to 6,245 yards which is short by modern standards and those who prefer to play strategically rather than with distance will enjoy playing a round of golf at Iga Golf Course.

Trees are a major feature of the golf course and flank many of the fairways.  Despite being short in length, you cannot underestimate tee shots and if you fail to find the fairway, you could be in a lot of trouble on your second shot.  The fairways vary in width and there is a good variety throughout to test both distance and control.

In terms of hazards, there one large lake on the golf course which is located along the left side of the 10th fairway.  Water also comes into play on the 17th and 18th holes and the key to a good round at Iga Golf Course is not to overhit the greens, as there is very little room for manoeuvre behind the putting surface.

The views when playing a round of golf at Iga Golf Course are tremendous.  You are treated to wonderful glimpses of the Aoyama and Nabari mountain ranges and the overall splendour of the course is complete with lovely flowers which are in bloom for much of the year.

Despite being over 50 years old, Iga Golf Course remains in great condition and the facilities have been renovated.  Both male and female locker rooms have been modernised and the front desk and foyer have also been improved.  There is a relaxing pool in both changing rooms and the restaurant offers a wide range of Japanese dishes which can be enjoyed while looking across the golf course.

Iga Golf Course is a great place to start a Japanese golf holiday and offers a good day of golf without being too demanding.
