A few kilometers away from Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Hills is the latest Golf Club to be built in Dubai. This immaculate course enables players of every skills and age level to equally enjoy the 18 holes of a lush green course which features a harmonic mix of flat and hilly terrain with the lengths of 7283 yards (Black Tees), 6785 yards (Blue tees), 6093 yards (Sliver tees) 5516 yards (Red tees) and 5130 yards (Green tees).
Burj Khalifa is visible from almost all the holes in the course. This lengthy course is combination of challenging and easy holes. Four shorter par four holes offer both excellent opportunities to score an easy birdie as well as the shocking possibility of shifting one’s score in the opposite direction. The shortest par four is a one wood drive away for a professional golfer but the doglegged fairway having OBs and hazards make 324 yards of this hole a very long journey.
A project of Emaar Properties, the leading global property developer, DHGC Club is under Emaar properties attached with a newly built housing society, Dubai Hills Golf City. DHGC is ready for playing but the facility will be opened for public in mid of November 2018 around the same time as the DP World Tour Championship in Palm Jumeirah.
Opening with a beautiful par-4 having 397 yards of distance from black tee featuring exalted pines, Generous landing areas, challenging bunkers, and a protean green all this present setting the stage for what is coming ahead. Presence of an odd number of stroke index i.e. 11 on tee number 1 shows the front nine is difficult set of holes. Hole number 2 is a beautiful par 3 with 164 yards distance. First par 5 comes at hole number five, SI 1 of hole # 5 declares it the most difficult hole of the course which makes it complicated playing 540 yards with 5 strokes to finish. Hole number 8 is the longest one, 605 yards. Last hole of front nine is par three where there one must land on the green to avoid the large water hazard covering almost 210 yards of total 220 between tee and green.
Back nine start with a small distant but challenging par 4 of 380 yards. 10th hole- SI 4- is the longest hole of the back nine covering 593 yards. Having bunkers, roughs, and water hazards last nine are the perfect picture of the architect's genius. This side is larger as compared to front nine, Its length is 3766 yards , natural terrain and sandy hills are used to make lush green fairway and roughs with considerable number of trees while taking into account the ocean breezes.
All the perimeter and internal fences and the walls bordering course and Dubai Hills housing development area is out of bound. All the sandy waste areas are integral part of the course.
