Kandy is the second largest city in Sri Lanka's located in centre of the island surrounded by hills and mountains. Many people consider it to be the cultural capital of Sri Lanka and was added as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. A visit to the Temple of The Tooth is top of the lost of things to do in Kandy. This is a beautiful temple right in the middle of Kandy which is supposed to be the resting place of Buddha's tooth. The temple is also sometimes known as the sacred tooth relic.
