Philippines Golf Explorer (Manila-Clark-Baguio)

Playing golf in Philippines is a magical experience but is not always very easy to plan.  From the flights and accommodation to the golf courses and the travel, playing golf in Philippines is tremendous but planning the holiday can be difficult on your own.

Thankfully, we have some great Philippines golf packages which take all the hassle away from trying to plan your own trip.  One of best packages is called ‘Philippines Golf Explorer’.  The name is appropriate because not only will you play a wide variety of Philippine golf courses during this holiday, you will also see different regions of the country.

The main entry point to Philippines is the capital city of Manila and this is where you will begin.  Having checked into your hotel, which will be either the New World Manila Bay or Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila, you can relax before heading to the first tee at Southwoods Golf and Country Club the following morning.

This is home to two of the best golf courses in Philippines and both have been designed by Jack Nicklaus.  You can play The Masters or Legends Course, with the former rated by many as being the top golf course in the country.  Having transferred back to your hotel to enjoy some free time it is up in the morning for breakfast before a round at Sherwood Hills Golf Club.

This is another golf course which comes under the Nicklaus design company and features fast and firm fairways and greens.  Water hazards comes into play on the back nine holes, with the 9^th itself having a testing tee shot over water.

The following day you will travel to Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club where you can play one of four golf courses.  They have each been designed by Isao Aoki, Andy Dye, Nick Faldo and Greg Norman, so you are in good hands.

Then it is time to move to a different region of Philippines and you will travel north to Clark-Angeles.  Here you will play two rounds of golf at Sun Valley Country Club and Luisita Golf and Country Club.  The latter of which was the first golf course in Philippines designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr and opened for play in 1967.

Moving further north again, on day 8 you will transfer to Baguio, a mountain town which offers cooler temperatures than much of Luzon Island.  You will have a round of golf at Camp John Hay Golf Club, which was named after U.S. Secretary John Hay, when it was established in the year 1905.  Jack Nicklaus has since worked his magic on the course to bring it up to modern standards.

You will have a free day to enjoy everything Baguio has to offer before playing your final round of golf at Baguio Country Club.  Having spent the night in Baguio, it is time to travel back to Manila where you will have plenty of time to go shopping and explore the sights before heading to the airport for your flight home.

The Philippines Golf Explorer certainly lives up to its name and you will have a fantastic time in three different regions of Philippines, exploring and playing golf.
