Hotels in Hainan

Hainan is a province located in the south of China and is in fact the southernmost point of the country.  Hainan is known for its tropical climate and beaches, making it a good holiday destination and it certainly does not lack for golf courses and resorts.

You will find several golf courses on the island, with Sanya Luhuitou Golf Club being the most southernly of those on Hainan.  Not only are you treated to stunning sea views from the par-72, 18 hole golf course but you can stay in one of the many top hotels located nearby.  These include Banyan Tree Sanya and Intercontinental Sanya.

Moving up along the east coast, you will find Ocean Bay Golf Club and not only is this one of the best golf courses on Hainan, it comes with onsite accommodation.  However, if you want to taste the ultimate luxury when playing golf in Hainan you should stay at Raffles.  This luxurious resort is located next to two championship quality golf courses, one of which is Clearwater Bay Golf Club.  You will struggle to find a better hotel and golf course combination on Hainan than Raffles and Clearwater Bay Golf Club.

Moving from the south of the island to the north and you can enjoy a great mix of accommodation and golf.  Hainan Wenchang Golf Club is a good example and the 18 hole course features a lot of water which must be avoided for a low score.  Accommodation is available at Double Tree Resort by Hilton and West Coast Spa Resort Hainan to name but two.

Nevertheless, you will struggle to beat Mission Hills Resort Haikou.  This resort is not only home to 5 star accommodation including dry cleaning service, turndown service, porter service, swimming pool, spa centre, a treatment room and a Jacuzzi but also an abundance of championship golf courses.  The Blackstone Course is perhaps the most famous but you should try them all during your stay.
