Aquella Golf Resort and Country Club is situated overlooking the Andaman Sea at Thai Muang Beach, 40 minutes north of Phuket Airport. The 177-hectare development of the site includes a complete redesign and rebuild the of the former Thai Muang Golf Club as well as villas and a hotel. Work on the new course began in 2018, and the work was undertaken by Pacific Coast Design from Australia and is scheduled to open in 2020.

Some of the new holes follow the orginal layout but have been completely rebuilt and everywhere the designer has added a deep layer of sand to ensure that the course drains well even after heavy rain.The course meanders across the gently rolling terrain and sometimes ventures in the Casuarina trees which line the beach. The course has been designed as a resort course so will be playable for golfers of all standards

The 11th which is a 186-yard par-three is the new signature hole. Here golfers tee off towards the Andaman Sea and the beach front. Depending on which tee you use gives you a completely different perspective and challenge

The contemporary clubhouse restaurant overlooks the golf course and looks out across the Andaman Sea.

Great course and very good conditions in all aspects. Best course played in Phuket/Phang-Nga area, even better than Red Mountain.

Good turf condition and fafilities.

Aquella is a bit far from Phuket. But the course is new and in excellent condition. If staying northern part of Phuket, it is worth playing this course.

Just great and good service. Plenty of water that might bother you but the course is playable. Excellent restaurant.

Best course in Phuket!

You absolutely must play here. Don’t let the 90 min drive out put you off. You will be so glad you visited. Absolutely works class facilities and course quality and presentation. 18 unique holes and an incredibly fun course to play. Had to stop so many times to soak in the views

Excellent Course Worth the Drive

This is a new course (about two years old) it’s it’s about an hour and a half drive from Patong. From the moment I arrived the service was impeccable right down to my name on the locker in the change room. The caddy was great and all of the carts came equipped with GPS has provided you with accurate distances to the green. If you’re in Phuket, this is definitely one course I would recommend.
