Laem Chabang Country Club is one of the best golf courses in Pattaya and also one of the best in Thailand.  The course is is in pristine condition with lush fairways, fast and true putting greens, immaculate clubhouse and top-class caddies.  A “must play” course and one you will not forget.  Also offers night golf starting from 3.30pm which is very popular with Pattaya golfers.

The 27 Jack Nicklaus-designed holes, (named the Lake, Mountain and Valley nines after the terrain of each course) have been moulded to the natural landscape by one of the greatest designers.  The Valley nine is probably the most difficult but that does not mean that the others are easier and whichever you play you need to get used to some long carries over water, sometimes thick rough , well-placed bunkers and very fast greens.

Our favourite course at Laem Chabang is the Valley nine and the second which is a monster par 5 has water everywhere and demands accuracy all the way to a green protected by a bunker along the right hand side.  The 3rd is the second most difficult with a demanding carry over water to another well-protected green with bunkers along the left.  This nine does not give you any time to rest as the 4th is the most difficult of any of the 27 holes at Laem Chabang Country Club – not that long but with bunkers protecting the fairway and a lake in front of the sloping green most golfers  will be very relieved to escape with a par.

Then it’s on to one of the prettiest golf holes at any of the golf courses in Pattaya.  The par 5, 5th hole stretches to more than 200 yards with numerous bunkers – a very daunting prospect for any high handicapper.

Hole number 6 on the Lake course is a good example as even a good tee shot still leaves an approach shot of 150-160 metres over water to the green.  The 9th is another very interesting challenge and most golfers will need 3 shots to reach the green as it is protected by rocky outcrops on both sides.

The 2nd hole on the Valley 9 offers some interesting choices – if you want to go for the green in two you have to flirt with the creek to allow for a shorter approach across water but if you play up then you can afford to keep away from this hazard

The pick of the Mountain holes is the 2nd which is a par 3 cross water which is longer if you decide to take on the flag and higher handicappers are advised to ignore the flag and play to the right side of the green.

Always a good round of golf

Fairways and greens are in great condition. Friendly and knowledgeable caddies, pace of play considering how busy your course was, was very good.

Very nice course.

The course was in good condition and had dried out in most places after some heavy rains. Its a challenging course. We played Mountain and lake. I was a little disappointed the driving range was closed at 8am to pick up the balls when this is a busy start period. Pace of play was OK. Played through a few slower groups. Caddies were good and knew the distances and helped reading the greens. I would play this course again.

Slow Play

We were 2 and had to wait EVERY shot for 5 hours. Service huts are mostly closed, so take your drinks at start and halfway. Even when we play through, we have to wait. Caddy was worse; maybe a girl in the Caddy dress … Cart on path and the paths are a Roller coaster up & down and aslant. Course was wet - Heavy Rain… The greens had steep, heavy slopes that were like fine sandpaper. My home course is Jack Nicklaus too, but with flat and easy greens. Maybe with better weather, better caddies, and better course management, it is a try. But singles and twosomes in a 4 of lousy Players is … Par 3 are long, 3 x over water, and Bunker in front of the green .. not for high handicap. I am 10 , my husband is high hcp

Was good to golf once again at Laem Chabang

Matured course and provides a test of one's skill, course management. The greens on C course we're rolling well and at decent speed. However, the greens on A course were bumpy, hollow-thinned, and fairly slow. Caddies knowledgeable.
